I can’t count the number of times someone has complimented me for something I’ve achieved or for just being an amazing mom to my son, without pointing out to their own flaws.
“You are really doing well with your son, I don’t think I can breastfeed for that long.” “I’m so proud of you, I don’t think I can do it all”, referring to how I juggle my business and other responsibilities. “You’re so neat and tidy, I don’t think I can manage a home, I cannot kill myself, I will hire a nanny to do the work”.
If you look closely, you will realise that most of these statements begin with the words, ‘I don’t think I can’. All these are coming from a place of fear, insecurity and speculation. They are not THE REALITY. But YOU CAN. In fact, YOU WILL DO WELL IN ALL YOUR ENDEAVOURS, because there is GRACE FOR EVERY LEVEL.
I remember when I was much younger, not that I’m old, I’m only 28, lol, I used to see marriage, pregnancy, childbirth, motherhood, entrepreneurship, as the preserve of a few. To me, I was not cut out for these endeavours, because I was too scared to even think of it.
I would dread the whole idea of getting pregnant, because in my mind, it was too hard and I was meant for the soft life! I used to ask myself, with the way I am, the way I like my things, the way I like to sleep, the way I like to be taken care of, would I be able to take care of another human as I should? I worried too much and I know you do, too.
Let me tell you this, THERE IS GRACE FOR EVERY LEVEL! THIS GOD WE SERVE IS SO ABLE! HE IS SO CAPABLE! In fact, WHAT GOD CANNOT DO DOES NOT EXIST! Period!
Everything I know now has been divinely aligned. My mum left to the US when I was barely 12, I had not even had my first period! But God aligned everything in my favour!
When I got pregnant, He carried me through 9 months of pregnancy, it was all HIS GRACE. Then I gave birth! I was taught at the hospital to bath my son, and that’s how my husband and I have been bathing him since! Today, I wake up early to prepare my son for school, cook, manage the home, and still find time to write for clients and manage my business from my home office! It’s ALL GRACE!
Dear One, THERE IS GRACE FOR EVERY LEVEL! Don’t let anyone put you down and make you feel less of yourself. Conquer the fear in your mind! Replace it with FAITH! There is nothing you cannot do with God! Don’t be insecure about what’s ahead of you! There’s a reason it’s called FUTURE! Trust your UNKNOWN FUTURE to a KNOWN GOD! HE’S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS! Stop speculating! Start PROCLAIMING! THERE IS GRACE FOR EVERY LEVEL AND GOD WILL HELP YOU TO CROSS THAT BRIDGE WHEN YOU GET THERE! Stay blessed!
