Today’s woman crush #womeninspire is none other than Ghanaian director, producer, TV host and serial entrepreneur Dzifa Gray.
Dzifa is one of the many women chalking successes in the creative arts industry. Quite recently when Covid-19 hit hard, she produced her own brand of disinfectant wipes, with her initials, DG, to improve infection prevention and reduce microbes on hands and other surfaces. So much to curb the menace!
Dzifa’s passion to inspire courage and confidence in others began at a tender age from the many fascinating experiences she had from her favourite media personalities like Komla Dumor! Encountering him and many others not only sparked her interest in media, but shaped her career in the later years.
In the UK where she lived for the most part, she was the Founder, Producer and Director of the Titi Gray Talk Show in London, a show which was later rebranded to The Dzifa Gray Modern Africa Show in 2009. Having returned to Ghana, Dzifa worked with renowned radio and TV personality Anita Erskine on the production of some exciting TV programs such as Fashion 101, Fashion Coast and Diva Delicious.
Dzifa made her mark during her days as the host of Morning Ride on Metro TV from 2016 to 2018. She was such a delight to watch, and won the hearts of many with her dexterous handling of interviews. Her warmth could be felt from afar!
Dzifa continued to reinvent herself, and set up many businesses to push her brand. She opened the Pure Bliss Spa in Ghana and Nigeria to cater for the spa and beauty needs of both men and women. She also set up Stecs Botiq, a warehouse of shoes, bags and accessories. Poised to do more , Dzifa went further to create DG and Co. Consult, a consulting agency, and Dzifa Gray Creations with several subsidiaries in media, health and fashion, and is currently the leading Operations of Reset Global People.
In 2010, Dzifa received an award for the Women In Enterprise Award category held in London. She was also appointed as an ambassador for Zongos to empower people from these areas to achieve their vision. She was honoured for her excellent performance on duty by Optimum Media Prime (OMP) and Metro TV in 2016.
Today I celebrate you, Dzifa! Thank you for inspiring others by pursuing your dreams! Thank you for using your voice for the voiceless! Thank you for using your business acumen to solve the problems of this world! Thank you for creating many employment opportunities for the youth! Thank you! Thank you for being a woman who inspires! #womeninspire #womancrushwednesday
